By car: Maastricht is well connected to major roadways via the Dutch A2 highway. Expect 4.5 hours to arrive from Paris. Parking in the city is relatively easy, but can be expensive in the city center. The Maastricht Noord train station has a free Park+Ride parking, from there you can get a bus or the train to the city center.

By train: The Eurostar passes by Liège. From there, there is a direct connection to Maastricht every hour. Travel time is 30 minutes.
​
By plane: Maastricht is surrounded by many international airports: check-out flights to Eindhoven, Amsterdam, Charleroi, Zaventem and Cologne.

Bonnefanten Museum

If you like asian cuisine like us, then you should have at least one meal at Minami. From Ramen to sushi and bento boxes, their menu has you covered. We go there at least once a month!

Grote Staat, Maastricht's bustling main street, is a vibrant pedestrian-only zone adorned with historic architecture, trendy shops, and lively cafes, creating a captivating ambiance of urban charm.

Onze Lieve Vrouweplein
Onze Lieve Vrouweplein, a charming square in Maastricht's historic center, is adorned with a majestic church, surrounded by lively cafes and restaurants, offering a delightful blend of architectural beauty and vibrant atmosphere.
Beyond Maastricht
Do you want to take advantage of your trip to visit new places? Maastricht is at the heart of Europe, and close to many beautiful cities. In no particular order:

Aachen is only 30 minutes away, and is renowned for being the city where Charlemagne was crowned emperor. Worth a day-trip for sure.
​
Cologne is an hour away, and is a bustling city known for its impressive Gothic cathedral. 30 minutes further lies Dussedorf, known for its fashion industry, museums and typical old town.
​
Brussels, the vibrant capital of Europe, is only 1.5 hours away from Maastricht.
​
If you're into fashion, make sure to drop by the Roermond outlet center, 30 minutes away from Maastricht.
​
Lastly, the ranstad is only two hours away, by car or train. Utrecht, Delft, Rotterdam, Amsterdam and the Hague are all worth a visit, for a couple of days.
Where to Stay
Due to the fact that Maastricht gets extremely busy during the summer season, we encourage you to book an accomodation as early as possible. Check out these cities for cheaper options, still within driving distance to the wedding venue: Hasselt (BE), Genk (BE), Maasmechelen (BE), Sittard (NL), Geleen (NL) and Tongeren (BE).
Travelling Tips
1. Tips for cash & payments
More and more shops in the Netherlands do not accept cash for payments. Likewise, some shop do not accept credit cards. Our advice: bring a debit card!
2. Watch-out for the bikers!
The Netherlands are known to be full of people biking on the sides of the street, especially in big cities or in the city center. Watch out for the bikers before crossing the street.
3. Rainy rainee
The weather can change fast in the Netherlands. Always make sure you have an umbrella to protect you from a sudden rain.
4. Speed limit on the highway
The speed limit on the highway is 100km/h between 06.00 to 19.00. After 19.00, the speed limit is 130 km/h
